Information you provide: When you create an offer on RentLow, we collect your name, email address, phone number, employment information, income details, and rental preferences.
Credit information: With your explicit consent, we perform a soft credit inquiry through our credit bureau partner (Experian). This soft pull does not affect your credit score and is not visible to other lenders. We collect your credit score band, payment history summary, and debt-to-income indicators.
Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the RentLow platform, including pages visited, search queries, and offer submissions.
We use your information to:
RentLow complies fully with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). We only perform soft credit inquiries, which require your written consent and do not affect your credit score. You have the right to dispute any inaccurate information and to request disclosure of information held about you.
We share your pre-qualification summary — credit score band, income verification status, and application completeness — only with apartment complexes that match your offer criteria. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your full SSN, full credit report, or financial account details with landlords.
RentLow complies with the Fair Housing Act. Our matching algorithm does not use race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability as matching criteria. All renters are matched solely on price proximity, location, unit requirements, credit profile, and availability.
All personal data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3. Credit data and PII are stored in isolated, access-controlled database partitions. We conduct regular security audits.
You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account, withdraw consent for credit inquiries, and opt out of marketing communications. Contact us at [email protected].

By accessing or using the RentLow platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
RentLow is a reverse rental marketplace that connects renters with apartment complexes. RentLow acts as an intermediary only. We do not own, manage, or lease any properties. We do not guarantee that any renter offer will be accepted by any landlord.
As a renter, you agree to:
Landlords agree to comply with the Fair Housing Act and all applicable federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws. Landlords may not reject applicants on the basis of any protected characteristic. RentLow reserves the right to remove landlords who violate these terms.
By submitting an offer, you authorize RentLow to obtain a consumer credit report for the purpose of evaluating your rental application. This is a soft inquiry and does not affect your credit score. You have rights under the FCRA including the right to know if your application was adversely affected by credit information.
RentLow is free for renters. Landlords are charged a lead fee of $49 per qualified lead delivered. All fees are non-refundable once a lead has been delivered and viewed.
RentLow is not liable for any lease agreements entered into between renters and landlords. We are not responsible for any misrepresentations made by either party. Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid to RentLow in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Houston, TX under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits against RentLow.
